Face it, Michael, they don’t like you

The Wanganui Chronicle
tells us Wanganui Mayor Michael Laws was uncharacteristically ‘unavailable for comment’ in the aftermath of the humiliating on-screen trainwreck that saw him stumble from the annual orgy of mediocrity and stupidity that passes for celebrity entertainment in Godzone.

However, LawsWatch can reveal it has scooped the Chronic and the Women's Daze, and has obtained an exclusive interview with the elusive loser. After wiping the mayoral spittle from his face our intrepid reporter filed this dispatch:

LW: Well Michael, you sure made a fool of yourself this time. You must be wondering what made you do it?

ML: What gives YOU the right to even speak to me, you pathetic loser. What have you ever done to promote yourself, eh? How many acres of news coverage have you managed to whip up for yourself and your cronies? How many times have you managed to get yourself and your kids in the women’s magazines? How many hours of your own radio talkback show have you managed to hijack to try to con the fools out there to vote for YOU?

LW: Surely that’s not the point. But it’s good to hear you admitting that you’ve lied from the beginning of this slow-moving trainwreck by claiming it’s all for Wanganui and Cancer.

ML: Lie? Of course I lie! Everybody knows that. What are you? Some sort of fool?

LW: It’s been interesting to hear the council insiders’ story of how you threw a fit when you were told you couldn’t hijack the ratepayer funded Wanganui District Council website for your own promotional purposes, and how the CEO caved in and let you make a laughing stock of the city.

ML: Of course he caved in, you fool. Why do you think I handpicked him and the other crawlers I surround myself with? You wouldn’t believe what a sweet deal I managed to get for him, so of course he does what he’s told.

LW: Your blatant use of council resources to promote yourself has been commented on in the DomPost and elsewhere, including by blogger Aucklander-at-large in a piece titled Politicians and Reality TV do not mix. It was noted that Rodney Hide also tried to turn his dancing scam into public support, but at least he paid for it … and the blog wondered whether the Wanganui District Council would charge you for the website exposure, or at least count it against your election expenses.

ML: Who takes any notice of that sort of rubbish by journalistic hacks and has-beens? I haven’t heard John Maslin even mention any of that, let alone complain about it. And everybody knows that he’s the most fearless, independent media sycophant I’ve ever managed to batter into abject submission.

LW: But the fact remains that you’ve effectively subjected yourself to a national popularity contest and despite the vast amounts of free publicity you’ve managed to give yourself, the people have spoken. Face it, Michael, they don’t like you.

ML: That’s just the point, isn’t it? The whole country is awash with subhuman fools who don’t yet know that what’s good for Michael Laws is what’s good for them!!

On ANZAC day showing Laws giving a Populist salute is a timely reminder of exactly what he is.

So when he asked his 'people' to vote, no one bothered.

Sadly for Mickey, the career in reality TV looks like it's on the rocks, people just didn't like what they saw.

I just feel so sorry for Mrs Laws, if the man thinks that dance was sexy can you imagine what their home life is like? Oh, no please don't.

Sooo right, anon. And contrast that with Tim Shadbolt whose people voted in their droves. Could be something to do with his sheeer likeability, perhaps ... and how ironic that Mickey spent so much time enviously slagging him off before attempting to follow his example, but falling so far and so embarrassingly short.

Go Tim!

Hey there Mickey....

I would like to mention that you Michael (Mickey Motor Mouth) Laws, Lauren de Boeck, and all the loser Laws supporters have brung new meaning to the phrase of "CRASH AND BURN"...en masse.

Mickey's DTWS scorecard:

Laws/de Boeck 17 19 9 x x x x x x

Mayor Tim's DWTS scorecard:

Shadbolt/Nicholson 23 25 21 19 20 14,23 23,19

Hell, you Mickey made even Rodney Hide look good...

Rodney Hide's DWTS scorecard:

Stuart 23 19 24 13 16,26 15,4

But don't feel to bad Mickey, your pitiful 9 was better than Rodney's 4, at least, by 5 points.

You're the Top Clown of DWTS though, Mickey. Because Mayor Tim and Rodney lasted much longer than you.

The New Zealand Herald sums up Mickey's DWTS demise much better than the Wanganui Chronicle:

An excerpt from the New Zealand Herald:

Lacklustre Laws loses his place with dancing stars

5:00AM Wednesday April 25, 2007

"Wanganui Mayor Michael Laws was booted off TV One's Dancing with the Stars last night after scoring a measly nine points out of a possible 40 from the judges.

He started his jive routine with confidence, donning a pair of sunglasses and slicking his hair back with a comb.

But the judges and the show's viewers - whose votes count for 50 per cent - didn't buy any of it.
Judge Craig Revel-Horwood described Laws' dancing as "stompy and shambolic".

And he said the timing was appalling.
"It lacked any form of control. The best part was when you ripped [partner Lauren de Boeck's] skirt off."

Judge Carol-Ann Hickmore was slightly more sympathetic, saying she loved his energy and enthusiasm. "But I'm sorry - that was not a jive," she added.

Laws described the difficulty he had had taking instructions from his dance partner during rehearsals.

"The Prime Minister of New Zealand couldn't tell me what to do. Taking instructions from a dance instructor is a big step for me," the ex-MP said"

Anonymous said...

Mickey..Mickey..That measly score of 9 points from the judges has got to be the lowest in all of the DWTS seasons and will more likely than not never be beaten…Congratulations!!!!

Not to mention that my prediction about you being gone if ol’ Paul Holmes could pull his head out of his arse has come to fruition……eh, LOSER.

And I quote myself:

"However, even though (April)Ieremia and Csaba got voted off, and they danced way better than you, with or without a broken toe. There is no one left the next time. If ol' Paul Holmes can get his head out his arse the next episode....You're gone."

I’m sure that Mr. Revel-Norwood had a good time in Wanganui….It appears that Mr. Revel-Norwood didn’t take to kindly to your bribery.

You had better pray that the ratepayers didn't have to flip the bill for you showing Mr. Revel-Norwood around the town.

And about your little remark to Lauren that you never listened to the Prime Minister ended up with you on DWTS the way you ended up in Parliament……with your unwilling departure.

Leaving you with the legacy of…Disgraced politician…Disgraced “dancer”….and Disgraced “mayor”

But, don’t fret Mickey you’re still an elevated low life…By that meaning that you’re a bigger low life now than you were before.

I'll be looking forward to hearing your bullshit excuses about your elimination off DWTS on RadioLive. I know I'll have a good laugh.

The only condolence I have for you is…HAHAHAHAHA…..Loser.

Now New Zealand can watch DWTS and be entertained since you're gone.

Yep Mickey...you're a bug.

Oh, and wining and dining Mr. Revel-Norwood, a DWTS judge, by invitation to Wanganui, a judge that Mickey didn't like, wasn't trying to buy the judge, huh?

Plus, Mr. Revel-Norwood was the only judge that kept giving Mickey low points (i.e. 1,3,& 1).

No one seems to have mentioned the real tragedy here.

You've made a good point, Anon.
But, it isn't the "end of the world" for the Cancer Society.

Cancer is a world problem. And countries much larger and richer than New Zealand contribute money for the cause.

And there has been very little progess throughout the years to stop Cancer.

Yes, it's too bad a low life like Mickey chose this charity.

But, don't you think that this was a strategic move by Mickey of informal social control to manipulate people's emotions towards Cancer to better his chances on staying on DWTS despite his "injury" and laziness to learn to dance.

Hell, his remark from the New Zealand Herald justifies his laziness and unwillingness to learn to dance says it all (with or without the broken toe bullshit):

exceprt form the New Zealand Herald:

"Laws described the difficulty he had had taking instructions from his dance partner during rehearsals.

"The Prime Minister of New Zealand couldn't tell me what to do. Taking instructions from a dance instructor is a big step for me," the ex-MP said""

Now I'll ask you....is that kind of talk any indication of an individual dedicating themself for the cause?...My answer to that is **No** in my book.

Mickey is nothing more than a habitual liar who is only interested in his own motives.

I rest my case.

Good old Mas ... once again he fails to mention that his pal's a gross hypocrite by now talking up the River after a couple of months ago trying to do it grave damage as a tourist destination by calling it crime-ridden and third world.

Now Mas just goes along for the ride, as usual.

Perhaps his memory is so bad that he just can't remember enough to do the job of a journalist. Perhaps Mickey should have been dancing for Mas's journalistic Alzheimers syndrome instead of cancer.

It seems that todays Wanganui Chronicle didn't have much to report so they decided to put the:

Laws set to do it right for Tv show finale

26.04.2007
By JOHN MASLIN

As a filler so the printing department had something do.

I had a read of the article just out of curiosity to the obvious and noted that a reponse to all that "journalistic enhanced" jibber jabber could be summed up in two words.....

Which are: So What!

All that happens at the end of the series.

Mickey will have plenty of rest time for his toe.

Mickey will be with the rest of the eliminees.

No one will be voting for Mickey, because, you're eliminated out of the contest. Get over it Mickey.

The Cancer Society will not get a cent for Mickey's presence. The option of txt'ing votes will he halted.

And, all the DWTS eliminees have in the past, present, and future dance at the end of the series. So what's the big deal?

In essence, Mickey and Mr. Maslin...the article is unfounded and deserves absolutely no merit but taking up column space in the Wanganui Chronicle.

REALITY CHECK:

Mickey and Mr. Maslin...exactly what difference will it make if Mickey dances for the winning couple or not?

Dancing in Tim's shoes

10.03.2007
By JOHN MASLIN

...."But he (Mickey)will not recant on his stinging criticism of Invercargill Mayor Tim Shadbolt, the man who took ballroom dancing to interesting levels in the first Dancing with the Stars competition in 2005.

“This wasn’t about dancing in Tim’s case. He had so engineered the vote that the dancing was irrelevant,” Mr Laws said.

But Mr Shadbolt said Mayor Laws needs to go back to his calculator.

“The whole of Southland only represents three percent of the New Zealand total so it would be very hard to influence an outcome where there’s a million people watching the show,” he said.

And as a seasoned dance star Mayor Tim had some sage advice for Mayor Michael.

“The dancing skills are half the battle, but marketing is the other half. He’ll have to swallow his pride and get out to schools and old folks’ homes and market himself. And it just wasn’t Southland. We were dancing all over the country.”

In terms of the dancing, Southland’s mayor has some wisdom to pass on there as well: “Get really fit and really disciplined. If you’re just disciplined but not fit, you’ll never make it. And if you’re fit but not disciplined you won’t make it either.”

Did anyone record Mickey's DWTS demise to give to Mickey to watch with that pinot gris, in case Mickey didn't have it recorded, or, he erased it if he did.

Trying to convince himself into denial that it was all a bad dream.

Another breathtaking outbreak of hypocrisy by Wanganui’s No 1 bullshitter this morning over Amnesty International and the China petition. Now he’s squealing about local government having no place in international relations and embarrassing the government etc etc.

So what do you call those weeks of hysteria (in WDC’s name) over the King of Tonga, Mickey? And what do you call your attacks on the government’s policy of aid to Tonga etc? Oh that’s right, you’re a lying lowlife hypocrite and nothing more needs to be said.

Yeah...Mickey did use an Amnesty International 2004 report released in the WDC Media Releases
Mayor on Tonga: "The facts don't lie" - 15/09/06

To base his opinion of Tonga, stating in the same WDC Media Release..

"An Amnesty International report in 2004 also noted royal-backed attempts to restrict freedom of the press and freedom of speech, after the Royal Family had been criticised for its excesses by some of its own citizens."

"The facts about Tonga are self-evident. They don't lie. As mayor, I cannot be a party to honouring those concepts and practices which are anathema to the New Zealand way of life."
---------------------------------
Now Mickey Flip Flops in the Wanganui Chronicle:

Laws rejects Amnesty's China petition

28.04.2007

HUMAN rights in China is foreign policy and not the domain of local government.

Mayor Michael Laws said he will not be blackmailed into signing Amnesty International’s “Human Rights: Not Made in China” petition against human rights abuses which they will bring to Wanganui on Monday.

“They are a bunch of idiots, and I don’t respond to idiots.”

----------------------------------
What's all this Flip Flopping Mickey? You just can't pick and chose one Human Right issue from another for your own motives.

You must be the idiot. No, I'm sorry..you're a **racist** Mickey, admit it.

As for balls, just keep wearing those lycra shorts. That’s all the reminder anyone needs as to the lack of anything resembling gonads and will save them wondering why you didn’t approach the gangs to discuss your populist crap bylaw (even Chester’s starting to get the shits about that one!)

Keep it up, Dude. Where would be be without Honest Mickey's Lies and Bullshit Emporium?

Well folks...Looks like Mayor Tim is the unanimous winner of being the better Mayor over Mickey.
