The growing madness of metal mickey becomes more obvious every day. last week he demanded the enforced neutering of maori women he does not approve of, then in the SST he suggested the same treatment for all the Semitic peoples of the Middle-East. This week on Radio Live he has been promoting 'designer babies' and the abortion of any foetus not meeting the Mayoral standard. There's a word to describe him - the same one he applies to anyone who dissents from his wierd ideas -if his Lordship was not such an absurd figure he would really be quite dangerous.
"Thankfully he isn't standing again and we only have to put up with him for a few more months."

That was the original line back then. I fear it may now not be the case. Obviously that plum beehive job never eventuated. Time to build ONE or TWO solid candidates.

Isn’t it touching to see Mickey’s love-fest with the Nats, with even No. 1 (or is that No. 2?) Brash wanting to talk rates with our mad mayor yesterday?
Wonder how long it will take for Brash/Burrows to figure out just why Jim Bolger said this about Mickey 10 years ago in a speech to a Nat’s conference at Palmy:
Special greetings to the delegates from Napier and Hawke's Bay where the political spotlight has focused these past few days. Where the New Zealand First politician Michael Laws cheated, covered up, was found out and resigned.
There was nothing noble in the resignation, it was forced on New Zealand First in a desperate attempt to stop a sordid story of deceit engulfing the whole of New Zealand First.
With the many allegations still around it is a case of watch this space for further developments.
Including who, or what, the original cover-up was designed to hide.
Who were the "certain people", using Michael Laws' own words, that he was trying to protect from what? The self-proclaimed 'honest party' is in a little bother.
Chance would be a fine thing. Let's look at it for a moment. His radio show is dying on its feet (along with the entire station), his telly appearances seem to be over for another season and he hasn't troubled the best-sellers charts with abook recently. What else is he going to do to fill in the yawning chasm that exists in his desire to be noticed? Of course he'll stand again....
If he's decided he's not standing again today, that doesn't mean he won't stand again - don't forget he's mad.
"I don't get it. I just don't get it. Even in the DomPost article, the Mayor is claiming that he was attacked in an abusive email. We've all seen the correspondence. He started the abuse."

No, the lying little suckhole claims that "If people send me abusive e-mails that wish harm on me and my family, frankly they deserve what they get. I will not take that kind of crap lying down."
Of course, no-one has done anything of the sort, but he only said if, didn't he? His remarks clearly imply that the Boults abused him, without actually claiming that they did so.
That's why I conclude that he is deliberately dishonest, in other words corrupt, which in turn leads to his gross incompetence in the performance of his duties.
I have no doubt he is corrupt, in that he is using the mayoralty of Wanganui entirely to further himself, as opposed to guiding the district. What a shame that the people were blinded by bullshit at the last election. And what a shame that there is absolutely no one concerned ratepayers can go to with their worries about him. Certainly the council covered itself in shame with tis craven, quisling behaviour over the Code of Conduct inquiry. Looks like you're stuck with him....
Mayor Michael Laws will be taking paternity leave from his mayoral duties from August 17 to September 1.
At last evening's strategy committee it was confirmed that Cr Dot McKinnon will be acting mayor during that period and Cr Don McGregor will be acting deputy mayor.

I'd agree with that, he has no where else to go now, and money and power to get back in.!
Don't worry, even when he's up to his elbows in shitty nappies (fat chance) he's sure to still find time to fling plenty of brown stuff of his own around in cyber space.
Although, having seen him on telly the other night talking about the gang-patch ban (interestingly, the story was illustrated on One News by footage of Palmerston North District Court) I thought he really didn't look well, poor love. A bit pale and puffy about the face...Has he been getting enough sleep? Or perhaps that dreadful flu that Dotty was warning about....Perhaps a ceasefire for a few weeks to let him recover.....:)
Several posts ago the possibility of getting Laws a job sowhere far away was mooted. His CV is probably available in Who's Who and it could be jazzed up a bit. Locating stations at the trash TV end of the spectrum must be possible via the internet. What is there to lose?

Further, I’ll say this just once,
I remain utterly indifferent to all those news organisations who throw ululating mayors, wounded councillors and hyperkinetic Sunday columnists at me, insisting that I care.
Because everyone in the Vision party is nuts. It is as simple as that.
There will only ever be two long-term solutions. The first is ensuring all the current party members and especially the loony leader no longer breed. The second is seed-spraying anti-psychotic drugs over Guyton St. Nothing else has the remotest chance of working.
Perhaps Mickey can tell us just how he came to tell his pet newspaper that the peanut allergy email was "unsolicited"? And why the dipstick reporter didn't ask his worshit why the hell he has his email address at the bottom of the Sunday Times column, if not to solicit responses?
Oh that's right, he's only interested in responses from fellow rabid ravers that stroke his ego.
And can he please tell us why he didn't take these alarming "threats" to his family to the police?
Saturday's Chronicle hardly showed the mayor in a bad light over the nuts e-mail - LawsWatch only giving aspects of the true story again and there was even an admission from the e-mailer that she shouldn't have got personal!

So when are Russ and Rob announcing thier alternative?
ML came out of that WC article today smelling like roses. Did we not get the full story then? And who contacted the Boults wanting to escalate the issue??
You should of let this one go quiet Michael.
Picking on kids is a very bad look and you fooled no one with this mornings article in the Chron.
Attacking parents who are concerned for their kids safety, aren't you a brave man, and to say you were attacked first, your fooling no one.
When will Mickey learn the old saying that when you're in a hole, stop digging.
Today's spitting and hissing in the Chron with it's ludicrous and unsubstantiated allegations (why didn't he supply the so-called threatening emails to the Chron or make a complaint?) was just plain dumb.
LawsWatch only giving aspects of the true story again...
Riiiiiight... we give the unedited and complete emails and allow you to judge for yourselves, Mickey gives the Chron fatuous spin which they fail to so much as question, and we're only giving part of the story?
Guess you're the some of the people he fools all of the time, then.
Mickey needs to up the ante in “civic leadership” to avoid being eclipsed by the likes of Rotorua’s initiative.
Might I suggest that he has a chat with Chester about a local bill to sterilise any citizen who can’t prove kinship or political ties with Vision. He could also apply for a government grant to build a furnace as part of the swimming pool project, large enough to accommodate the existing products of such banned breeding. He could make a case for government funding based on the economics of recycling the heat for the comfort of those “approved” happy white families using the waterslide.
It worked a treat in Germany in the thirties and forties.
ml`s article in today`s S.S.T. demonstrates conclusively how desperate he is for publicity
Fancy that. Sunday newspaper ranter Michael Laws lifts his enforced sterilisation hysteria to fever pitch and rails against women who “pop out” children without sticking round to parent them. He’s previously of course made much of his disgust that these same women produce kids from different fathers.
Perhaps he’d like to share with us numerical details of how many mothers and fathers his various offspring and “step offspring” have between them, and tell us just how much parenting and acknowledgement he gave his older offspring. Sauce for the goose, Michael?
How said, ML, famous for abusing people, now runs for cover claiming he was abused when anyone with an IQ of more than 25 can see the email exchange in it's true light.
In an effort to educate Mickey (purely out of love you understand) I reckon it's time we all armed ourselves with hotmail accounts and cheap pre-pay phones so that we can show him how to abuse. His contact details are there for all to see.

It is irresponsible of LW to approve this sort of comment. We thought you were here to expose ML's real wrongdoings that truly affect Wanganui. When will that start?
Mickey's lies in Saturday's Chron. were perhaps a post-Maslin low point, but you've got to love the coverage of the revue on Saturday.
Looking around it I was struck by how many National "names" in the arts scene live and work here, at the top of their respective games.
It's a pity that the sporting community in Wanganui, which has been sucking on a much larger ratepayer teat, can't lift its game to match.
The rowers seem to be doing ok, I suppose.
