Art for art's sake

We have nothing against troglodytes, being quite attached to our own cave, but when they venture out and start vandalising works of art it's unfortunate.

No one drags them down to Queen's Park and makes them look at it, after all. They're at liberty to stay at home doing something which interests them more, such as checking one another for nice edible ticks.

It seems, though, that in the newly intolerant environment festered... sorry, fostered by the Diva, some people are less than sympathetic, while other are quite upset by it all. So here's our own contribution to the world of art:

I'm sure the Laws will offer to rebuild the thing into the Heart Project.

The Peace Sclupture in Queens Park. And no, we've never contended it's Vision teams members.

Sorry lawswatch but your bias is showing.

You do suggest the act is by people "fostered by the Diva". Surely the rest is symantics. Hide behind the words but you still imply a Vision involvement.

Surely a random act by bored individuals is a more likely scenario. The culprits (sick as they are) probably would even know who ML is and wouldnt know a Vision policy if it bit them on the ass? Lets debate arts issues and youth policies that Council can actually control rather than stupid morons with too much time and too much alcohol on their hands.

You diminish the value of this site by strings like this

With respect, we suggest the act took place in an environment where arts and artists are devalued and ridiculed, fostered by the Diva.

We don't mean to imply he had any hand in this, or even that he would have wanted it to happen. But if a towns First Citizen is openly contemptuous of the arts, it gives implicit consent to a moronic minority to express their contempt in this way.

A bit like Winston's vilification of migrants. He'd never chuck a brick at an immigrant, but he helps foster an environment where people feel justified in using his pronouncements as an excuse to do so.

The subject never would have come up if one of Lawsmob hadn't gloated over it here.

Lawsmorons unite, you have nothing to lose but your mayoral chains.

Laws supporters will have those council chains long after you lot have toddled off to prison somewhere.
